Ranking & Medals

Rank Match points

Rank Match pits you against players nationwide for points. It is played between players who have registered a nickname. Room Match, CPU Battle, and Story Mode do not change your points.

  • You start with 1000 points (the title Soldier).
  • Winning raises your points and losing lowers them. The points the winner gains are the points the loser loses.
  • The stronger (higher-rated) the opponent you beat, the more you gain. Between equal players, the winner gains 10 points.
  • A win always gives at least +1 point. A draw counts as half a win.
  • Surrendering, disconnecting, and timing out count as a loss.
  • Your first three wins of each day earn a bonus of +1 point. The day changes at 4:00 a.m. Japan time.

How opponents are matched

  • First, you are matched with someone within 150 points of you.
  • The longer you wait, the wider the search: 50 points more every 10 seconds.
  • You can play the same opponent up to 3 times a day, and not again for an hour after a match.

See it in the game

In Rank Match, a face-off screen shows both characters with their names, titles, and points before the battle. The ranking screen lets you compare the current season with a past one side by side.

Seasons and monthly rankings

Season (points)

  • A season lasts three months, switching at 4:00 a.m. (Japan time) on January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1.
  • The ranking is ordered by points. You appear once you have played at least one Rank Match.
  • When a season ends, its final ranking is saved, and everyone's points move toward the average (your gap from the average is halved). The new season starts from there.
  • You can look back at the rankings of past seasons.

Monthly (net wins)

  • A monthly ranking based on wins minus losses (draws are not counted).
  • It resets at 4:00 a.m. (Japan time) on the 1st of every month.
  • The top 100 are listed. Players with a negative score are not shown.
  • You can look back at the rankings of past months.

Finishing in the top 10 of a season or a month earns you a medal (see Medals below).

Stats

In Stats, you can see how often you used each character and your wins, draws, losses, and win rate, season by season. View Rank Match and Room Match separately or together. Win rate is wins divided by games played.

Medals

Your achievements are kept as medals. See your collection under Medals in the menu.

Story medals

There are 12 story medals: one for clearing the story with each of the nine characters, and and one for defeating each boss. Your difficulty decides bronze, silver, or gold.

Bronze (Easy)
Silver (Normal)
Gold (Hard)
  • You only earn them if you recruit no allies and use no Continue.
  • Bronze for Easy, Silver for Normal, Gold for Hard. Achieving it on a harder difficulty upgrades the medal.

Rank Match medals

Earned for your total Rank Match wins and for your ranking results.

  • A top-10 finish in a season ranking (points) once the season is over: one medal for each season.
